As Mercy Medical Center celebrated its 100th Anniversary caring for patients, they selected CBLH Design to implement a recently completed Master Plan. CBLH Design was chosen for three major projects, the first being a new $20.5 million Intensive Care Unit.
This 24-unit ICU is a family focused, state-of-the-art facility equipped with leading-edge, critical care technology located adjacent to the Mercy Surgery Center. This addition was built into a steep hillside and integrated an extension of a three level parking structure beneath, as well as a rooftop helipad above. This patient-centered design improves staff efficiency as well as patient outcomes. The attractive, yet durable interior finish scheme sets the stage for future hospital upgrades as the implementation of the Master Plan continues.
The building was designed to grow vertically to accommodate three additional patient levels.
