Beachwood Branch Library
CBLH Design is currently working with Cuyahoga County Public Library for the renovation of the Beachwood Branch.
In addition to the complete renovation of the building, the project also includes relocating the front entrance and adding a drive-up service window. The new entrance located further from the service window is being implemented for added safety when the drive-up window is in use. The existing entry vestibule will be transformed into a conference room.
The renovation includes reworking the adult, children’s and computer areas. The project also includes relocating teens and new books. This reworking allows the teen area to be closed off for improved noise control. One design concept is to create a glass wall between the play area and the story time room to allow for passive observation of both areas for parents.
In an effort to consolidate and maximize efficiency, one service point collocated at the teen’s and children’s areas will serve those respected areas. An additional service point for information, adult and computers will be located in the center of the building.
Lastly, the design allows for additional seating throughout the library.
