After a comprehensive facility assessment and master plan was completed in August of 2002, CBLH Design proceeded on the first of three phases for the library's growth. The first phase is a new entrance lobby, a new parking lot, limited interior renovations and complete exterior renovation work. The second and third phases include a community room and increased collection space.
The unique aspects of the services provided within the Library, the constraints of the existing building, the opportunities that might be available and adjacent to the site, and the way Canal Fulton Public Library fits into the urban fabric of the city and surrounding community were all considered in the planning of this civic structure.
