3rd Floor Med/Surg Renovations

The University of Toledo Health Science Campus Hospital is in the process of renovating various departments co-located on the third floor. The renovation of the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit is in progress and the next step is the renovation of the floors Medical/Surgical rooms. This project includes the conversion of semi-private rooms into private, new head and foot walls, upgrading of the floor’s technology systems and the design of a fire suppression system. The various mechanical systems in this renovation will be required to tie into the existing building systems.
Another component of this renovation is the requirement of the Medical Center to remain operational throughout construction. To achieve this a study was done to suggest phasing options. This project is currently registered with LEED and is tracking at the Certification level for Commercial Interiors.
