With projected visits for 2014 at 83,000, CBLH Design and the Medical Center determined the need for 98 total treatment spaces which included CDU, Psych and Prison exam spaces. The study, completed in 2005, determined that 66,000 square feet would be required to more than double the capacity of this department. The above conceptual plan allows for a four phased project approach resulting in an ED that maximizes the use of universal treatment space. CBLH completed this study within the framework of a Medical Center Master Plan previously developed.
