The previous Emergency Department had a common entrance location for "walk-in" patients as well as those who were brought in by ambulance. The new facility separates these entrances to provide faster access required for high risk patients. Adjacent to the "walk-in" entry, there is a larger waiting room to provide increased comfort for patients and their families.
