SS Cosmas & Damian Church
Twinsburg, Ohio
In 1995, SS. Cosmas & Damian Church of Twinsburg commissioned CBLH Design to perform an analysis of the existing facilities and prepare a Long-Range Master Plan for the future development of the site. The initial purpose of the study was to confirm the need for doubling the capacity of the sanctuary. However, the future growth of the parish's school also required a decision by the church as to whether to limit class availability or expand the physical capabilities of the school.

With the information provided from master planning a new church and education wing were designed. The new Church has the capacity to seat 800 people. The Education Wing, which has not been built yet due to funding issues, has the capacity of 10 classrooms, school offices along with new toilet rooms, storage facilities and an elevator servicing the second floor.
It was important to the design team, which included members of the church, to create a contemporary space that embraces the traditions surrounding the celebration of the Mass.
