The City of Olmsted Falls
Columbia Road Park Master Plan
Olmsted Falls, Ohio
In 2001 CBLH Design, Inc., and Kerr + Boron Associates were retained by the City of Olmsted Falls to prepare a master plan for a new community park. The City purchased 24 acres of land for the purpose of constructing a new fire station, service center and recreation complex. CBLH developed a preliminary concept plan that was used in determining what land would best suit the park. Consultation was done with the architect designing the fire station to best design the entrances to both facilities.
The master plan for the park includes the following amenities: ball fields, recreational and lap pools, greenhouse, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, a field house, walking trails and passive recreation areas. In addition to the Columbia Road Master Plan the team assessed the existing city parks and provided a comprehensive parks master plan.
