The design involves restoration of the existing structure's facade and is sympathetic to the existing classical architectural style while giving the addition and renovation a fresh architectural statement as the Library moves into its next century of service. The project is designed using LEED certifiable principals and materials respecting the Library's Board of Directors' desire to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
